AGI Winthrop Du-et Again  OA OAJ OAC NJC TN-N "Do-it"

Do-it was High in Trial with a perfect 200 in UKC Agility 4/26/09!!!

At 7 weeks old, the Orange boy now belongs to Teresa Hatcher, who has helped me so much with socialization of the litter, along with her son Logan.  His name is Winthrop Du-et Again, call name "Do-it."  Do-it will be training in agility, and maybe some herding on the side...

Do-it at 6 months, December 2007: Orange boy, Do-it, "is the most operant dog I have ever encountered" according to Teresa Hatcher, his owner.  Although he is not yet jumping or doing weaves or full contacts, Teresa is using him as a demo dog in teaching some of her agility students what they should be working towards in training their dogs!  He is a big boy at 30 pounds and 20" tall.

The "wave" is his release behavior!Do6mowave

Do-it & Blink are doing great in training.  After not working them very much through the summer, I have made a concentrated effort to schedule their lessons *first* now.  Both are working on courses, as well as compulsories & improving individual skills.  Do is finally running full, upright weaves.  Do-it continues to thrive, there have been no lasting effects of the OCD problems from his first year.  Do is EASY to work, willing to do something 17 times in a row (even if I am not cuing it) and currently has an annoying, a disqualifying, but the most entertaining 2O2O behavior on the a-frame.  He races across it (well, as fast as Do runs - which is average bc fast), vaulting the apex, down the back-side, running all the way & stopping in a hand-stand.  He is not landing in the handstand, he actually shifts his weight very nicely, just continues running, then pulls his back feet off - before reaching back with one rear foot to touch the board.  All the while, laughing at me!   We'll extinguish that quirk soon, but I will try to video it today if I can - it is really funny.  Add that to his favorite trick of "foot", and he is a riot.  "Foot" means to raise one back leg out & to the side, much like a male dog urinating.  A local judge has begged me not to consider that as his start line behavior! <ggg>

May 2009--Do had a great weekend at our AKC trial!  He also likes me running.  He Qd in jumpers both days to finish his very first agility title!  In standard both days, he was wonderful.  His contacts are everything I could ask for in any dog, his table is perfect right now.  He does tend to jump flat, so dropped a bar in both standard runs, usually approaching a contact obstacle.  He needs lots of weave work, but got them on the 2nd or 3rd attempt each run.

November 2009--Teresa reports Do has decided he really can fly, faster than his legs can manage the dogwalk! He ran an AKC Novice Jumpers course in 7.17 yps, and now has his first OAJ leg.
